About Us
Building a better community extends beyond mere rhetoric.
For the PCDC, it represents a committed mission to place candidates who embody our democratic values in elected positions.
This mission includes championing initiatives aligned with our values and actively participating in hands-on projects.
Ultimately, our goal is to build a better community by shaping policies and taking various actions to support and help others in our community.
A message from our new Chairman:
Dear Page County Democratic Committee Subscribers,
Whether you are a longtime Democrat, a new volunteer, or someone simply looking for a political home grounded in democratic values, we are glad you’re here.
As we look toward 2026, we do so with a strong sense of purpose. Our democracy faces serious challenges. Donald Trump and his allies continue to push the country toward authoritarianism, undermining democratic norms and the rule of law. At the same time, redistricting efforts offer hope to reshape Congress and confront the gerrymandering by Donald Trump with other states. These realities demand that we grow-not just in numbers, but in effectiveness.
Our mission is straightforward: to elect Democrats at every level of government and to defend democracy in Page County and beyond. To do that, we are committed to becoming a stronger, more strategic organization-one that delivers real, meaningful results for our candidates, our volunteers, and our community.
We believe the strength of the Democratic Party lies in relationships. That means fostering a vibrant, community-focused Democratic network here in Page County, while also building and maintaining strong external partnerships that connect our local work to broader movements across the Commonwealth and the nation.
This committee is more than a meeting or a mailing list-it is a community of people who believe in fairness, opportunity, and democratic governance. Together, we can meet the challenges ahead, support one another, and do the work necessary to win.
Unlike divisive tactics, Democrats stand for practical solutions:
-
- Improved infrastructure
- Quality public education
- Affordable, accessible healthcare for all
- Environmental conservation
- National park protection
- Workers’ rights, including a living wage
- Personal and family rights
These critical issues, both nationally and in Page County, underscore the importance of the upcoming election year. With Senator Tim Kaine and President Joe Biden on the ballot, the time to act is now.

To turn our vision into reality, the PCDC requires your ongoing support and active participation. I am dedicated to building a robust and effective organization that yields measurable results, but your commitment is integral to the success of these efforts. The stakes for this year’s election are high, and it is our collective responsibility to safeguard our democracy and protect our rights.
Thank you for your dedication and support.
Sincerely,
Miles Morimoto
