Ken Mitchell Fundraising Concert
Join us for the Ken Mitchell fundraising concert, featuring a special appearance by our very own Susan Corbett. Susan has been a tremendous supporter of the PCDC, generously providing us with a highly visible downtown headquarters at an affordable price and allowing multiple campaign signs on her properties. The concert will take place at the Daughters of the Stars Theater in Stanley and promises to be a fun and memorable evening. Page County Fair – PCDC Booth
- The PCDC will be staffing a booth at the Page County Fair with the following hours: Aug.19th – 24th 6-9pm
- On Saturday, August 24th, CD 6 Candidate Ken Mitchell will be visiting
- We will be displaying the new Harris/Welz signs along with Kaine and Mitchell signs.
- We will be distributing the following rack card at the booth:
Warren County Annual Fundraising dinner
You are encouraged to attend the Warren County annual fundraising dinner he’d on Sept. 7th, 6pm in Linden, Va. It should be an enjoyable event with speakers Tim Kaine and Ken Mitchell.
ACTIVITIES
New Signs this week
Harris/Walz yard signs – I’ll pick up new Harris signs this weekend from the Warren County Dems HQ and Harris/Watz yard signs on Aug. 24th.
We have ordered a new design of Harris, Kaine, Mitchell signs for the HQ, Roadside and Page County Fair booth. I’m hoping they are ready by Monday of next week.
Partnering up with the Rec Center Fish Fry Dinner with Voter Registration table
The PCDC will be partnering with the Rec Center, Luray to host a Voter Registration table at the Rec Center Annual Dinner Fundraiser. Anticipated number of attendees should be around 300-400 so please support the Rec Center and order a meal or two!
Postcard Mailings – teams
We have sent 3,500 Harris, Kaine, Mitchell postcards to voters in Page County. The targeted list includes women, leaning Republicans, Independents and Moderates. This is the first of three monthly postcards promoting all three candidates.
Introducing Ken Mitchell postcards – 1,000 sent
We have sent 1,000 postcards introducing Ken Mitchell to Page County. This was sent to a list of women with no data on political affiliation.

Radio ads
- Coordinated effort between CD6 Dem Committees to run ads up/down I-81 corridor
- PCDC to participate with $500 contribution
- Partnering up with Shenandoah County Democratic Committee
- SCDC has used a variation of our new Harris/Walz, Kaine, Mitchell poster design to create 10,000 postcards and multiple 4×8 roadside banners. This will help create more awareness throughout the valley.
Budget
- PCDC is using the funds from our annual fundraising dinner to help promote National, State and CD6 Candidates through brand and position awareness initiatives.
- We are spending roughly a couple thousand dollars per mailing for August, September and October. We have spent around $1,000 on a “Introducing” Ken Mitchell postcard campaign.
- We are spending around $800 for revised posters and roadside banners after the Harris change from Biden.
- We will spend around $500 to contribute to a radio campaign up and down the I-81 corridor to raise awareness and target swing voters.
