NEXT PCDC MEETING – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER at the Rec Center, 630 W. Main St. Luray – All are welcome

FUNDRAISING EVENT
A quick PCDC fundraising party was held on Oct. 24th and it was a success! We had fun and raised over $2,000, which is much needed to replenish our funds after a very expensive campaign year. Thanks to all that made this happen!

ELECTION WATCH PARTY
The Official PCDC Election Pot Luck/BYOB Watch party will be held at Susan Corbett’s River’s Bend Ranch, 397 Riverbend Rd. Stanley, Va. from 6-11pm.

The Watch Party will be held in the Bunk House which is to the left of the pavilion. For those who want to sleep over, the Bunk house has 10 bedrooms with individual bathrooms.

Use Google Maps to get to the ranch and click on the picture below to see an expanded picture for details on where the Bunk House is located. It will be lit up with string lights.

Susan will be providing fried chicken from DR’s down the road in Stanley and if we also bring something for the pot luck, there should be more than enough for everyone. Please contact Miles Morimoto: chair@pcdems.com to let me know what you’re bringing so we can coordinate the pot luck and BYOB.

Ana MendezPCDC SUPPORT FOR ANA MENDEZ FOR SHENANDOAH TOWN COUNCIL
Ana Mendez, a Shenandoah resident, has decided to run for Shenandoah Town Council as a write in candidate. The PCDC is supporting her candidacy with a door hanger and 125 Democratic names in Shenandoah. She has been knocking on doors and delivering the door hangers with the hope of winning one of the three seats.

NEW MEMBERS
The PCDC has grown by about 17 new members which is significant growth for the organization. We have also seen some substantial donations recently such as a $1,000 check dropped off at our headquarters. People are seeing that we’re out there and support is growing to combat the threat to democracy.

++++
The PCDC is looking for polling station volunteers to man the tables on Election day. Please contact Sandy Schaberl at slschaberl@gmail.com.

District 4 Board of Supervisor Issac Smelser has resigned and a special election will be held to fill his seat after a temporary person is assigned the position by the BoS. The PCDC is actively trying to identify a candidate to run for this position. See article here:
