Page County Democratic Committee
It is our mission to increase the number of qualified Democratic elected officials at the local, state and national level.PCDC Monthly Meeting Tonight, 6:30pm Nov.7th at the Rec Center, 630 W. Main St. Luray
The feeling is one of gut wrenching disappointment, not surprise. The signs were everywhere, not just in Page County—evidence of strong support for Trump was visible with Trump signs across the countryside. Despite media portrayals that his campaign lacked local field organizations and momentum, supposedly drained by legal expenses, the sheer number of signs told a different story of his grass roots support.
It’s like receiving a grim Cancer diagnosis on a bright, sunny day. The beauty of the day is there, but it’s hard to appreciate under the weight of what you now know. But there’s no use crying over spilled milk, and no point in dwelling on the criticisms or the “should-have, could-have, would-have” scenarios.
Instead, let’s focus on shaping a positive vision for the future and the ways we can make a meaningful difference. As the federal government moves towards chaos and more responsibility shifts to the states, we have a real chance to create positive impacts in Page County and the state of Virginia.
Looking ahead to 2025, I hope to see PCDC continue growing as an organization by:
– Having a defined set of achievable, meaningful objectives
– Recruiting additional talented, dedicated members from within the community.
– Establishing meaningful programs that give people a sense of purpose and satisfaction in their contributions.
– Achieving the goals we set for ourselves at the start of the year.
We don’t yet know all the challenges we’ll face in 2025, but we can anticipate some of them—likely issues like school name changes from Confederate generals, book bans, and similar conflicts seen in neighboring counties. A strong organization, coordinating with other Democratic committees in neighboring counties, is our best hope for taking on these challenges effectively. We can’t change the election results but we can create an organization that the community finds it’s worth getting involved in to combat these challenges.

American Rescue Plan (ARPA)
Bill H.R. 1319 funded five Million dollars to Page County and Ben Cline voted against it.
This is why we need to tell locals in Page County that Biden and Democrats deliver the goods to help the community. Over $500,000 went to the Police and other significant funding went to key public services which we all benefit from.
